One of Audio Bountys bands of 2009 Wave Machines are back in Liverpool playing live at ‘Festevol’ on Friday 25th of August at the O2 Academy. They’re debut album ‘Wave If Your Really There’ was a featured album of the week on Audio Bounty and were proud as punch that they’ve been gaining some much deserved success and kudos playing some of the most hyped summer festivals such as Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, The Green Man Festival, Lovebox and Bestival. They were one of a few outstanding acts at the Liverpool Sound City festival with their refreshingly original brand of electropop – a nice break from the monotony of the architypal ‘Liverpool’ sound.
Festevol has a whole smorgasboard of aural treats to ram down your ear holes including Screaming Lights, Indica Ritual, Picture Book and Hallo I Love You - it’s set to be a fat slice of what’s nice in the new school Liverpool music scene. And if your not dripping with anticipation from that, there’s always Hadouken, Kissy Sell Out, The Golden Filter, Cassette Jam and Gorten Vs Berger banging out alternative electro sounds in the other room. Dj’s James Rand, Mr Paul, Nanna Bonna and CMWMSMDM will be the glue tying the whole night together. A ticket is going to set you back a measly £12.5o, a steal considering what’s on offer.
