You’ve got to praise people who take risks for what they love and DJ I.D. & Baobinga are two of those people. They’re giving away their new record ‘Bass Music Sessions’ for free on the 1st of March via Bass Music Blog and promoting using blogs, forums and other online tools. They’re keeping a diary of what’s involved here. They’re no slouches when it comes to promotion, trust me and any other artists wishing to build a bit of hype for themselves in this increasingly dog eat dog music world could do a lot worse than checking out what these guys are doing and taking notes.
The record is pretty sick too and is a testament to the eclectic tastes of I.D. & Baobinga, drawing upon hip-hop, deep/techy house, dubstep, drum & bass and much more. It’s right old earful of bass. Tracks from it have been getting spins from the likes of Claude Von Stroke, Buraka Som Sistema, TRG, Untold, LVis1990 and DJ Friction.
