On Wednesday 26th of August, the wonderful Samizdat Promotions are being rather nice to us by offering for a big fat FREE The Seal Cub Clubbing Club and Balloons at ye olde cider gaff, The Orchard (Blundell Street, Liverpool). Probably best to use your good sense of judgement and get down there, after all – it’s rude to look a gift horse in the mouth or something. Be early as the venue only holds 75. SCCC are a five piece from The Wirral who specialise in post-punk with a distictly new wave feel. If you haven’t already, wrap your ears around their album ‘Super Science Fiction’ that came out this year (Click here to listen to it in Spotify).
Support on the night comes from balloons. I’m new to them. I’m intrigued. I don’t know much except they play synthy, post-punk, electro weirdness. The type of stuff that flounts most of the musical conventions but somehow manages to sound amazing. Check the video
